It includes information on a broad range of topics, such as job search tools and tips, employment openings, career assessment, education and training, and benefits and special services available to veterans.

Illinois Department of Employment Security IDES offices have Veterans Employment Representatives to assist with your job search efforts and other veterans benefits such as reemployment rights, civil relief protections and employer support.

Illinois Skills Match ISM maintains the fastest growing pool of thousands of available, qualified job seekers, plus an extensive variety of jobs at every skill level in hundreds of industries and occupations in Illinois.

U.S. Dept. of Labor/Veterans Employment and Training Service A comprehensive guide to the services offered including information about employment services, veterans preference, job rights for veterans and reservists and special programs and projects.

Veterans Leadership Program of Illinois The primary mission of the Veterans Leadership Program is to secure long-term employment for Illinois veterans. They provide services to employees as well as employers at no charge including career counseling, resume writing and interview skills.

Veterans Outreach Program (State of Illinois) This program offers counseling to qualified veterans who are seeking employment with the State of Illinois and helps current employees seeking to expand their job opportunities. Assistance is provided with employment applications, testing and identification of open positions.

Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Service This agency provides assistance to service-connected disabled veterans such as vocational counseling to service-members and veterans who have recently separated from active duty and vocational counseling or special rehabilitation services to dependents of veterans who meet certain program eligibility requirements. They also provide assistance to employers in recruiting, hiring and interviewing disabled veterans who have strengthened their vocational skills through the VR&E program.
