ACES Tuition Assistance ProgramThe Army Continuing Education System (ACES) Tuition Assistance Program provides tuition assistance for a maximum of fifteen (15) semester hours (22 quarters hours) of college course work per fiscal year to members in good standing of the Illinois Army National Guard.

Army Correspondence Course Program As a FOA in direct support of HQ TRADOC core missions, ATSC serves as the Army’s premier training support planner, researcher, integrator, and service provider. For HQ TRADOC staff, ATSC manages the Armywide Training Support System, which is designed to provide an operationally relevant training environment whenever and wherever needed.

Army ROTC Scholarships Army ROTC scholarships cover all tuition and fees at selected colleges and universities in the state of Illinois. As a high school student you may compete for a 4-year award. Once on campus, you may apply for a 3- or 2-year scholarship. Scholarships cover tuition, books and lab fees, and include a $150 stipend per month while attending school.

College Credit for Military Learning ExperiencesThe American Council on Education’s (ACE) Military Evaluations Program has evaluated and provided college credit recommendations for more than 10,000 military courses and military occupational specialties (MOS). The information is cataloged in The Guide to the Evaluation of Educational Experiences in the Armed Services. Evaluations are available for all the services from 1954 to the present.

DANTES Distance LearningAre the demands of work and family preventing you from pursuing your education? If you answered yes, you’re not alone. Many of us feel our educational goals are out of reach. What you may not realize is that there is a program designed specifically for you. The DANTES Distance Learning Program provides a wide range of nontraditional education programs critical for Guard members who need an alternative means to fulfill degree requirements when classroom attendance is not possible.

Defense Technical Information Center The Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC®) is THE premier provider of DoD technical information. DTIC serves as a vital link in the transfer of information among DoD personnel, DoD contractors and potential contractors and other U.S. Government agency personnel and their contractors. DTIC is a DoD Field Activity under the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics.

FEEA Scholarships FEEA is a private, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt corporation which provides educational benefits and emergency assistance exclusively to all civilian federal and postal employees and their dependent family members. FEEA receives no government funds. Virtually all of our operating revenue is derived from federal employee contributions specifically pledged to FEEA #1234 in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). FEEA is truly "Federal Employees Helping Federal Employees."

G.I. Bill Information regarding the G.I. Bill, an educational benefit provided by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
 
Illinois National Guard Grant Any enlisted person or any company grade officer, including warrant officers, First and Second Lieutenants, and Captains in the Army and Air National Guard, who has served at least one year in the Illinois National Guard and who possesses all necessary entrance requirements shall, upon application and proper proof, be awarded a grant to the State-controlled university or community college of his or her choice, consisting of exemption from tuition and fees for not more than the equivalent of 4 years of full-time enrollment in relation to his or her course of study at that State controlled university or community college while he or she is a member of the Illinois National Guard.

Illinois State Approving Agency The State Approving Agency approves college and non-college degree programs, vocational flight training, apprenticeships and other on-the-job training so that federal educational assistance benefits may be paid to veterans and other eligible persons under the several programs administered by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Montgomery GI Bill The Montgomery GI Bill - Selected Reserve, Chapter 1606 is an educational assistance program enacted by Congress to attract high quality men and women into the reserve branch of the Armed Forces. It provides educational assistance in the form of monthly payments for qualified soldiers enrolled in Department of Veterans Affairs approved college level education and training. Eligible Illinois National Guard members can receive up to $9,180.00 of educational assistance under this program.
