On behalf of all the people of Illinois, I salute the men and women who have selflessly served our nation in the United States Armed Forces and Illinois National Guard. Their service to America, both in times of war and peace, is a debt that can never be repaid.

In addition to honoring and acknowledging the men and women who have served their country, we must also do everything we can to ensure that our current troops and their families are empowered with the information they need to readjust to civilian life or continue to serve in the military.

To better inform veterans, military personnel and their dependents of the services available to them, our state agencies have compiled information, including direct links to service information, on the many pages of this website and in the “Serving Those Who Have Served” booklet. The comprehensive booklet also provides website addresses and telephone numbers for other resources available through federal, county and local agencies and organizations.

We are proud of our Illinois service members and veterans and proud to provide “Service for Those Who have Served.”
